Field Operations
Court Services
The Court Services Section of the Field Operations Division is tasked with maintaining a safe and secure environment at the Fayette County Justice Center. Under the leadership of Captain Fuller, this section is responsible for implementing a thorough access screening process to ensure the physical security of the facility. Their visible presence helps safeguard visitors, employees, and members of the Judiciary, protecting them from potential threats and acts of violence.
In addition to providing comprehensive security at the Justice Center, the Court Services Section also oversees the Civil Process Unit. This unit plays a vital role in fulfilling the Sheriff of Fayette County’s constitutional responsibility to properly serve various civil litigation documents.

House Watch Request
As a service to the citizens of Fayette County, the Sheriff’s Office offers the House Watch Program while you are on vacation or traveling. If you are scheduled to be away from home for two days or longer, you may submit a request for Deputies to conduct security checks of your home during your absence. Please understand that due to manpower restrictions and variations in the volume and nature of calls that the patrol shift is handling, house watches are conducted on an “as available” basis. The Sheriff’s Office cannot guarantee that a residence will be checked at specific times of the day or a minimum number of times while a homeowner is away.
To request a house watch, please fill out our House Watch Request form.
More Information
Note that this service is available only to residents in the service area of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. If you live in the city limits of Fayetteville, Peachtree City or the Town of Tyrone, please contact those agencies to inquire about similar services.
Uniform Patrol
The men and women of the Uniform Patrol Section at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office perform some of the most visible and recognizable functions within our agency. They are the core-some might even call them the backbone—of the Sheriff’s Office. These dedicated deputies are the ones who respond to your calls for help. Whether it’s patrolling your neighborhoods, searching for a missing child, comforting crime victims, or questioning individuals who seem out of place, they’re there. Often, deputies in the Uniform Patrol Section serve as the first line of defense in the largest law enforcement agency in the county.
The Uniform Patrol Section operates across four shifts, each led by a team of supervisors: a Lieutenant, Sergeant, and Corporal. These teams work 12-hour shifts and operate as a cohesive unit, with all members of each shift either on duty or off duty at the same time. This structure ensures continuity and promotes a more instinctive working relationship, ultimately allowing them to serve our community more effectively.
