Criminal Investigations Division

The Criminal Investigation Division is comprised of over thirty personnel assigned to different sections in the division. These sections are General Investigations, Crime Scene Unit, Internal Affairs, Youth Services Section , Warrant Services, Canine Unit and Tactical Narcotics Team.  

The Criminal Investigations Division is also responsible for the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) and the Crisis Negotiations Team.


Evidence and Property

The Director of the Criminal Investigations Division is Major Tommy Pope, he has been employeed since 1989 with the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.  He is committed to the mission of the Sheriff's Office and to actively pursuing all leads to solve crimes committed within Fayette County.
