Sheriff's Office and Jail Lobby

In an ongoing effort to safeguard the health and wellbeing of both the community and Sheriff’s Office employees, effective today (3/20/2020) the Sheriff’s Office lobby and Jail Lobby will be closed to the public until further notice due to concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic.

The Sheriff’s Office has online resources available through our web site (www.fayettesheriff.org) to conduct business with the Sheriff’s Office such as requesting a copy of an incident report, copy of accident reports, open records request. If you have a question, please call the Sheriff’s Office at (770) 461-6353.

If you have to conduct business at the Sheriff’s Office in person, you will be met at the lobby door and checked by a thermometer to scan for fever before entrance into the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office or Jail Lobby.

Currently, we are unable to do fingerprinting until after this health situation is resolved.

Our deputies will be maintaining their normal patrols across the county just as we always have and will be responding to calls for service based on severity, whether criminal or civil in nature. If you have a problem that is non-emergency, not in progress and does not require that a deputy respond to the scene or meet with you in person or recover evidence, please call the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at (770) 461-6353 to speak with the Watch Office Deputy to answer your questions or to file a incident report - ONLY in non-emergency situations.

All Fayette County Sheriff’s Office personnel are reporting to work as normal, unless they are sick, in which case they are advised to stay home.

In emergencies, DIAL 911. Non-emergency questions can be directed to 770-461-6353.

Updates to this situation will be posted on the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office website, www.fayettesheriff.org, and on the Sheriff’s Office social media channels.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this crisis in our community.
